with a developed market economy shows that small enterprise has certain advantages
over medium and large enterprise entities, namely: mobility, the ability to respond
quickly to changes in the economic space and the ability to adapt quickly to the needs
of consumers. In the course of this study, peculiarities of the national small enterprise
that were able to ensure its dynamism and effective activity were highlighted:
-Activation of the structural adjustment of the economy, the implementation of a
number of important functions for diversification and adaptation of production.
Entrepreneurs traditionally point the direction of economic growth. This, first of all,
concerns services provided to the population: domestic, educational, tourist, etc., as
well as business services: consulting, marketing, and engineering. In the above-
mentioned sectors, small enterprises fill niches that are not prepared to cover entities
of large and medium-sized enterprises.
-High efficiency of small enterprise is achieved at the expense of specialization,
the ability to produce goods necessary for the market, to meet the needs of scarce
services, to manufacture artificial products for the individual orders of the consumer.
Entities of small enterprise are completely independent in the implementation of
economic activities, have all the capabilities to ensure the management of production,
supply and sales processes on the basis of simple organizational structures with a
minimum number of administrative and managerial apparatus.
-Entities of small enterprise are characterized by mobility, because due to lack of
significant investments, they are able to react more quickly to changes in market
situation and to master unclaimed segments.
-Entities of small enterprises have a particular attitude to the labor process, since
it is easier for them to create an atmosphere of creativity and interest in the final result.
-Small enterprise has the ability and willingness to innovate. In countries with a
developed market economy, small enterprise entities provide about half of all
developed and implemented innovations in high-risk industries and are the main object
of investment. In the most dynamically developing industries, small enterprises occupy
a dominant position in the share of production and make up more than 80% of the total
number of enterprise entities operating in a particular industry. The share of innovative-
active small enterprise entities in the European countries is in the range of 30% - 60%.
Small enterprise is innovative by its nature, as a result of which it stimulates the
renewal of the production base of large and medium-sized enterprises, attracting its
capital to R & D. Small enterprise can hinder the decline of the country's scientific and
technological potential. It is known that small enterprises are pioneers in the creation
and development of scientific and technological achievements of the modern world.
-Entities of small enterprise inherent in today's organizational skills, namely:
ability to risk, internal and external cooperation. It should be noted that the small
enterprise entities are willing to invest in the training of employees, which increases
