The second group of the types of economic activities shows a downward trend of
the share of employed during the analyzed period. At the same time, an internal shift
is almost twice as large as an external one, so decrease in the share of employed in this
group took place, first of all, due to the outflow of labour force from these industries,
and not to reduction of employment in general, though industry included in this group
is one of the leaders by the number of vacancies.
The third group of economic activities after the decline of the share of employed
in 2014 managed to reach some positive dynamics. This group includes sectors that
have one of the most significant shares in the total structure of employed. It should be
noted, that it is for the third group of economic activities the differences between
internal and external shifts are minimum, that is, the changes occur equally due to intra-
sectoral and inter-sectoral shifts. The indicators of the internal and external structural
shifts in this group are higher in comparison with the similar indicators in the first
group, what proves the more intensive intra- and inter-sectoral shifts in economic
activities compared with the first group.
The provided analysis shows that a resonance effect is characteristic to all three
groups of economic activities in 2013 and for the first group in 2014. So, during this
period there was a shift of labour forces not so much within one sector, as between
different sectors. The resonance effect occurred during the crises period in Ukraine.
Military conflict and economic decline caused a rapid reduction of employment. Many
people were forced to seek new workplaces. On the other hand, due to the occupation
of the part of territories, people with a status of temporary displaced persons joined
labour force at the labour market. Forced to urgently equip their life, many of them
agreed to any work that allowed them earning their living, though not always in their
profession. The compensation effect in all three groups of economic activities, on the
