EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM AND CULTURAL ARCHETYPE
Introduction. Today, there is a controversial process of Eastern European
countries’ Education Reform that passes through the method of copying and practical
implementation of educational technologies and models that do not correspond to the
cultural traditions of society as they are borrowed from other social and cultural
environment. Doubtless, the education system is a continuation of the social system;
the educational process is the most important element of the system reproduction; and
culture from the philosophical point of view is the basis for social, material and
spiritual things to be built on; it is the culture that forms the stability of all aspects of
social relations. Concerning this, T. Parsons expressed a remarkable idea: “The main
functional problem lies in linking the social system with the personality system through
learning, development and preservation of adequate motivation to participate in
socially recognized and socially controlled action models throughout the life cycle.”
[11, p. 12]. And to our opinion, this particular function is realized by means of the
cultural tradition (cultural environment), in which the educational system takes the
leading place. It is a well-known fact that any social reforms are doomed either to
failure, or to enforced introduction, which means an internal protest and rejection, if a
national tradition of all areas of social relations is not taken into account.
The education system reproduces the existing social norms, rules and traditions.
What can the hybrid education system reproduce, what are the consequences and what
is the result for the national society? The country has been in a state of a spiritual crisis
for third decade long. To our opinion, the reason lies in the area of culture, and culture
is an ideological phenomenon, and if society loses the basic “settings” having been
formed over the centuries and begins to “rush” in search for other values, sometimes
justifying lack of spirituality by acquiring some new values, this is a crisis. Interruption
