an individual approach to a separate subject is allowed and even encouraged in order
to correct individually the formation of a personality and bring it to a standard
trajectory of development” [17]. One way or another, the individualization of the
educational process often means student’s personality “equalizing” to the average state
of the collective (if it is not about special education and upbringing).
The logical continuation of the topic of sociocentrism is the organization and
management of the collective. Historically and traditionally, under collective
functioning, where the justice and law are not elements of the individual’s
internalization and are not the main factors regulating social relations, the role of the
leader holds a special place in the collective consciousness and collective activity. The
personality of the leader in Slavic Orthodox social system is a key element of its
condition. The charismatic personality of a leader at any level is development and
progress; and personality of a leader who does not possess charisma leads to society
the stagnation and degradation. Social surveys conducted by the authors over the last
20 years, among college students, show a steady result. 82% - 87% of the total number
of respondents characterized the personality of the ideal leader as follows: strict,
demanding, fair, good organizer, able to take care of his subordinates. I would
emphasise the fact that no one paid any attention to legality, rights and obligations.
Over the last 20 years, the direction of social movement from the government has
changed, but the results of surveys remain stable.
In Slavic Orthodox society, the role of the individual cannot be overestimated; the
presence of a charismatic leader is the main condition for the development of the whole
society. In Slavic Orthodox world, the leader personifies power, and following the
Orthodox tradition, his main functions are to defend, to protect, to maintain, to coerce,
because he is both a savior and a supporter. Public gratitude is humility and delegation
of absolute authority to the leader. The active leader, the passive society. "Give me a
benefit, and I will pray to God for you" - this is the essence of the relationship between
government and society. Absolutization of the leadership role is identified in the
absolutization of political power, and political power is associated with a political
leader. Traditionally, in the mass consciousness, power has always been personified
and no democratization of society can change it. Therefore, the critical role of the
subjective factor in the historical process often characterizes a social movement as
abrupt, which is not always consistent. In such circumstances, the authoritarian forms
of the government are perceived by the social majority as optimal, mentally natural,
and sometimes desirable. Power liberalism is perceived by society as its weakness and,
in most cases, leads to social and political chaos.
The subjective will of a leader, empowered by tradition, and the absorption of
individual collective responsibility on the one hand, and the passive state of society
