The most practical training - the practice of training, technology, pre-diploma,
industrial training, internship - is one of the pivotal requirements of the competence
approach to the training of future professionals. Its volume, dates are determined by
the curriculum of each specialty. And to ensure the competitiveness of graduates, it
must be carried out in enterprises equipped with modern production technologies, and
it can be carried out on the basis of the college itself, when it has a modern educational
and production base. It is important that it be conducted in the conditions of
professional activity under the organizational and methodological guidance of teachers
and specialists in this specialty. The direct types, forms, content and control of the
verification of the level of practical knowledge, skills and abilities that students must
master and shape in the process of practical training are contained in its work
curriculum for each such practice.
At the same time, there is a provision of the Law of Ukraine "On Education" that
"Especially gifted students are provided with training and internship according to
individual plans creating conditions for studying abroad" (Art. 42) [43] and "...
students. May be guaranteed by the state the right to get a direction for study, internship
in other educational institutions, including abroad (Article 51) [44].
The organization of practical training of students is governed by the Regulations
on the practice of students of universities of Ukraine [45] and higher educational
institutions should develop and approve instructions that take into account the goals,
objectives, content and features of training in a particular specialty and specialization.
But, in the practice process, students are provided, according to Art. 53 of the Law of
Ukraine “On Education”, jobs, safe and harmless working conditions [46].
Responsibility for organizing, conducting and monitoring the practice rests with
the directors, rectors of universities, and the educational and methodological guidance
and implementation of all practice programs are the departments (cycle commissions),
which are graduating students. The general organization of the practice and control
over its passage is carried out by the head of the practice. Only experienced teachers
of commissions and departments can be its direct supervisor, but masters of industrial
training may be involved in guiding the practice in preparing students for the working
profession.
Enough in this aspect is the Polish experience in organizing and conducting
practical training of future specialists. In particular, these are the following features.
First, students can express their wishes and outline the prospects for internship in
accordance with their individual training plan. So, practice becomes the object of
concluding a pedagogical contract between a student, a practice base and an
educational institution; and in the process of evaluating the results of the practice, the
difference between the tasks assigned to the trainee and included in the practice
program and the level of implementation of this program is taken into account;
