The authors of the work [5] carried out researches on the implementation of
combined fibrous fillers. The influence of composition and nature of the components
of combined fillers which included organic fibers in combination with such mineral
basalt fibers as polyamide, polyoxadiazole, polyamide benzimidazole and carbon
fibers (that made it possible to obtain the necessary complex of physico-mechanical
and tribological properties) was examined in the work [5]. The regulation of PCM
properties is also carried out by the change of discreteness of fillers, i.e. fiber lengths
from 10 to 40 mm. It was found out that strength characteristics of PCM increase while
increasing of the length of fibers up to 30 mm, however, further increase in the length
of fibers leads to their twisting. This contributes to the occurence of internal stresses in
the composite plastic while processing of prepregs into products.
Organoplastics based on phenol-formaldehyde matrix reinforced by
polysulfonamide (Tanlon brand) and polyamide (Rusar brand) fibers.
Organoplastics based on the rezol-type phenol-formaldehyde resin (bakelite varnish
LBS-1, made in Ukraine) (see tab. 4) randomly reinforced by
discrete polysulfonamide
fiber Tanlon T700 (made in China) and paraaramid fiber Rusar-C (made in Russia)
(see tab. 5) were chosen as research objects.
