One of productivity indicators of grass stand, along with botanical composition is
harvest structure. The ratio of stems, leaves and generative organs of plants in
agrophytocenosis is an important indicator of its fodder value, because the main mass
of nutrients is in the plant leaves. Analyzing the harvest structure of, we found that the
ratio of stems, leaves and inflorescences depends on type of grass stand and it
components. Results of experiments of studying the structure of grass stand showed
that share of leaves in cereals averaged over the years of cultivation accounted for 35.4
to 42.5%. The biggest leaf formation observed on variant with Dactylis glomerata with
plowing depth 16-18 cm and was 42.5%, the smallest rate was on variant with Phleum
pratense L. and plowing depth 20-22 cm, that can explained by the biological
peculiarities of these plants (Table 4).
