one. More rarely there grow two or more sprouts (depending on the time of planting,
which is associated with weather conditions for the period from single to complete
sprouting). As a whole, it can last up to 25 days, as it is noted during the third period
of planting for depth of planting of 12 cm.

The next stage of growth and development is three leaves, which, due to
observations in the studied variants, makes up only a few days – about 4-5. Further
comes the stage of intense sprout formation, which can last until late autumn. Such
process of sprouting is directly related to the development of the rhizome and is a start
of tillering. In general, sprouting (as it is shown by the experiment) takes 25-29 days,
depending on both time of planting and the depth of rhizomes' covering. Stem
elongation is characterized by the appearance of nodes on the stem, which in future
will affect the biometric parameters of Giant Miscanthus. According to the estimated
variants of time of planting and their depth of covering, this stage was up to 11 days,
which is relatively small number of days compared to whole vegetation period.
Somewhat later, in September, early October, after the emerging of the flag leaf, there
happens a stage called the throw of panicle, which lasts the longest, according to the
variants evaluated (43-64 days). This period of plant's life cycle makes it possible to
form a sufficient leaf apparatus, and subsequently the biomass itself as a raw material.
After throwing the panicle, the flowering stage comes in, which is 23-30 days or less
after panicle's emerging. In the autumn period of plant's vegetation, when soil and
climatic conditions of grown culture will transit to an average daily temperature below
10 °C, the loss of leaf and stem mass is going to happen. As a result of this
phenomenon, plants' growth and development processes stops, and the leaves and
