On average for three years of observation, the first time period of planting showed
the largest amount of planting material of big rhizomes, which amounted to 32.8 pc.
Other time periods of planting appeared to be lower in number for both big and small
rhizomes.
CONCLUSION
In the work, there were established the regularities of dependence of conditions
of growth, development and formation of productivity of the Miscanthus upon increase
of yielding capacity due to the influence of agrotechnical factors, namely: planting time
periods and rhizomes' covering depth under conditions of western forest-steppe, which
made it possible to make the following conclusions:
1.
The duration of interstage periods increases in case of planting of Giant
Miscanthus in the first time period (second decade of April). As a result, the duration
of vegetation period was prolonged up to 177 days, while this figure was lower for
planting in the second time period (third decade of April).
2.
Biometric indices of Giant Miscanthus's plants were the highest during the first
planting time period – the height of the stem reached 254.8 cm and was decreasing by
3-5 cm with each subsequent planting time period. The maximum number of leaves on
the main stem of the first planting period was 14.2 pcs, and the number of stems per
plant was 11.8 pcs.
3.
The maximum yield of Miscanthus's biomass (58 t/ ha) was received during
the first planting time period with rhizomes' covering depth of 9 cm. In the variants of
subsequent planting time periods showed productivity of 49-51t/ ha.
4.
By rhizomes' weight value, the variants of the first planting time period with
the covering depth of 9 cm dominated. Also the second time period with the same
