Mitochondria were highly swollen; their matrix had a low electron density. Crista
shortened, disorganized, part of the cristae was lysing. Mitochondria with a
homogenized electron-dense matrix were often observed.
Supporting epithelial cells with totally destroyed external membranes and cristae
were found out. In a small part of Sertoli cells degeneratively altered membrane
structures and organelles and necrosis of cytoplasm sites were detected. In some
destroyed cells mitochondria looks like of vacuoles filled with homogeneous
osmiophilic substance.
Tanks of a smooth endoplasmic reticulum are vacuolized and electronically
transparent. The granular endoplasmic reticulum membranes had numerous foci of
lysis and isolated ribosomes were found on its membranes (Fig. 3). Membrane
fragmentation of the granular endoplasmic reticulum was observed in separate Sertoli
cells.

Secondary lysosomes and lipid inclusions were located in the area of localization
of the reduced lamellar cytoplasmic Golgi complex. Individual lipid inclusions are
limited to a smooth membrane. Clusters of smooth disorganized and randomly oriented
