infrastructure should serve the process of the market exchange of goods in the organic
sector, provide the reliability, transparency and stability of the sector.
To carry out the process of transition from the traditional to the organic business
activity it is necessary to mobilize own funds and possibilities of agrarian enterprises
in Ukraine. It can be recommended to borrow the experience from the developed
countries in the world; in those countries, the government plays the main role during
this transition, and it is the government who is interested in positive ecological changes
and therefore it creates the efficient mechanism of environmental regulation and
determines strategic priorities in the sphere of transition to the production of the
organic agricultural produce.
In the context of the practical implementation of the declared measures, agrarian
entities which work with the production of the organic produce for carrying out
economical, ecological and social functions, provision of the efficient activity under
rapidly changing conditions in the environment, as well as struggling for strong
positions at the market of the ecologically clean agrarian produce, have to choose their
strategy of development.
The main strategic priorities of the certified organic enterprises are the following:
‒ confirmation of the organic technologies in agrarian production as the ideal
model for the steady development of rural areas; social-ecologic direction is
implemented by it;
‒ increase in the number of organic producers, which consider ecological care,
ecological rationality and social logic;
‒ implementation of the balance between the demand and supply for the agrarian
produce, environmental protection and social support of the agriculture;
‒ strengthening of the position of organic producers at the food market through
increase in the amounts of production and distribution of agricultural produce;
‒ provision of the extended restoration of the organic enterprises at the expense
of increasing efficiency of work and maximal financial results;
‒ beneficial public activity toward the development of the local society in the
region and the society in general.
The analysis of the results of the carried out estimation gives reasons to state that
the strengths of the organic agrarian producers are the following:
‒ for small-scale produce enterprises – provision with human resources,
motivational policy, management over finances, structure of managing the enterprise,
flexible consideration of the market trends, staff management;
‒ for middle-scale produce enterprises – provision with human resources, reaction
to trends in the development of the market, structure of management at an enterprise,
motivational policy, staff management;
‒ for large-scale enterprises – level of marketability of the produced certified
