2015 in Ukraine actual consumption of the main types of products only for bakery
products, and potatoes (20% positions) was at the level of rational norms [17].
Investigating the share of agriculture in the total gross value added showed that
the value of this indicator practically decreased throughout the entire period - from
16.7% in 2000 to 14.0% in 2015, i.e. the share of agriculture in the total gross value
added decreased by 2.7 points (Fig. 10). It should be noted that in 1985 this indicator
was 24.5%.
The total cost index for agricultural production, defined as % of values according
to the previous year, the lowest period for the study was 2013 (101.0%), and then - rose
steadily and in 2013 it reached 150.9%. That is, the level of production costs of
agricultural products increases with a decrease in its share in the total amount of gross
value added.
