is one of the most important components of ensuring the success of their production
and marketing activities. Using the concept of the marketing mix as the marketing
strategy of agricultural service cooperative allows to form a targeted comprehensive
marketing program that will contribute to the achievement of economic goals.

As of today, cooperation has become one of the priority direction of agriculture

development. In recent years, in Ukraine, the number of agricultural cooperatives has
been increased. According to the Association of the livestock of Ukraine, as of
01.01.2016 there were registered 1947 agricultural cooperatives in Ukraine. As of
01.01.2017, there were 2014 (997 had a production type and 1017 had a service type).
By the beginning of 2018, there were already 2069 cooperatives in Ukraine (production
type – 996 and service type – 1073). That is, plus 55 cooperatives or 3% more [8].

The number of functioning cooperatives amounted to 558, or 26.9% of the total

number of registered ones. The most of functioning cooperatives is located in Ivano-
Frankivs’k (72), Cherkasy (67), Kyiv (58), Kherson (46) and Ternopil (31) regions.
The leaders of anti-rating by the number of non-working, but declared cooperatives
were Rivne (27 of 38), Sumy (33 of 47), as well as Vinnytsya and Transcarpathian
regions, where 67% of registered cooperatives don’t operate (Table 1).
