CRIMINALISTICS IN THE SYSTEM OF THE CONTEMPORARY
EDUCATIONAL PROCESS
Introduction. One of the important directions in the implementation of science
in criminalistics is the formation of its training course, since the introduction of
accumulated special knowledge into the practice of countering crime through the
training of high-quality law enforcement personnel is a social function of criminology.
In its implementation also shows the relationship of criminalistics with other law
schools of the criminal law cycle. It points to the place of criminology in the criminal
law system as a kind of integrative academic discipline that is capable of performing
synthesizing functions in the training of law enforcement professionals. Therefore,
when developing a training course in forensic science, it is necessary to take into
account the interdisciplinary connections of this discipline with the academic
disciplines of other sciences of the criminal legal cycle. Accordingly, the improvement
of the training course "Criminology" is seen, above all, in the development of curricula
coordinated with the disciplines of the criminal-law cycle by the amount of training
time and sequence of study. Secondly, separate program themes of the named
disciplines should be coordinated taking into account inter-subject connections.
Historically, in Ukraine the training of lawyers of higher qualification is carried
out in two directions: 1) at the educational institutions of the Ministry of Education and
Science of Ukraine (civilian institutions); 2) in the departmental educational
institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service of
Ukraine, the Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine (specialized institutions). In civilian
educational institutions, as a rule, training of lawyers of a broad profile without specific
specialization is carried out. On the contrary, in the departmental educational
institutions, the training of lawyers is carried out with a focus on law enforcement
activities on the allocation of its individual areas (public security, operative-search
activity, investigative and forensic activity, expert-forensic activities). Naturally, the
curricula and programs of academic subject matter of the criminal-law cycle should
differ significantly depending on the profile of training specialists.
