We also consider it appropriate to focus on the fact that today, in the context of
highlighting the most important issues of the educational process in higher education
institutions in Ukraine, a special place, along with its organization issues, is the
problem of professionalism of scientific and pedagogical staff involved in the state
strategy of combating crime . Now, teachers who need to train genuine professionals,
have to work themselves in a global transformation of existing scientific knowledge
and fundamental modern changes in the forms and methods of the educational and
pedagogical process. There is a tendency for hard professional competition among
specialists of higher education, which is won by those who clearly imagine the real
requirements and needs of society, the criteria for scientific and pedagogical activity
in general and the structure of teaching activity in particular.
These questions in the aspect of improving the methodology of teaching
criminology are very relevant in light of the modern development of Ukrainian
criminology. Interest in this issue by theorists and practitioners obvious solution for
these issues allows itself to develop as forensic science, and optimize the process of
combating crime on the ground. We already pay higher attention to the fact that
criminology as an academic discipline and shape is improved thanks to advances
scientific field of criminology. The formation of domestic criminology as an
independent legal science largely determined the place of forensic knowledge in the
educational process.

which and any methodology of another discipline, is subject to the general laws of the
modern educational process. However, in addition to these general laws, the teaching
methodology of any particular science depends on the specifics of its content. It is the
specific features of the teaching of criminology that are due to its content, and is the
core basis that carries out a certain synthesis between the theoretical foundations of
counteraction to crime and the practice of its application in real-life reality. Due to this,
criminalistics offers judges, investigators, operative and prosecutors, experts
scientifically based and proven practice methods, methods and methods of disclosure
and investigation of crimes, as well as judicial review.
To date, the process of preparing a domestic law enforcement officer and a court
competent to answer all the challenges of the existing reality is a priority task of the
state. It is for this purpose that, in the structure of the educational process, certain
integral blocks consisting of separate general theoretical, special, profile, compulsory
and elective disciplines, closely interconnected with each other and subordinated to
one global objective, are created in the legal faculties and in the specialized ZVO -
production of highly professional personnel.
In the process of preparing future law enforcement officers, the knowledge of the
block of sciences of the criminal-law cycle, which, in turn, must be in a certain order
