of family desocialization. However, from the point of view of their nature, the
discrepancies are insignificant, and the adverse moments of family education that
contribute to the formation of the identity of a minor offender can be combined [6].
Negative influence, tested in the parents' family, affects not only the juvenile
delinquency. This influence in a certain situation may manifest itself after many years,
which, in conjunction with other factors of committing a crime, is already an adult
person. The criminological studies conducted have established the connection between
different kinds of criminal behavior of adults with the presence of negative
circumstances in their upbringing family. Two-thirds of recidivists say that their
family's negative family standards are being restored [13].
There is evidence that
vagrancy, which in itself is a crime-causing factor generating various crimes, is often
a distant echo of adult offenders who have experienced in their child's emotional
alienation from their parents [11]. The nonsensical skills of future homeless people are
usually acquired in early adolescence [14].
Comparing the parents' and their families in adult criminals forms the idea of the
need to impose negative components of marriage on the childhood tested in family
disadvantages. According to our criminological data, 80% (orphans – 15%; half-
orphans – 20%; parents divorced – 45%) of convicted juveniles spent their childhood
in an incomplete family, which by a complete set of negative factors: from the
drunkenness of allowed parents to serious offenses was characterized.
Actually, arising as a result of marriage a family, often makes adjustments in
human behavior, not only in the positive, but also in the negative direction. For
example, the presence of opposite orientation on essential issues of family life often
causes aggressive reactions of one of the spouses. Expecting a partner to marry anti-
social acts on the other hand can push him into a crime. The demands of the parental
and marital families in some cases contradict each other. Such a contradiction is a
prerequisite for changing the position, the direction of which depends on the ratio of
the volitional qualities of the spouses [6].
The research of their own families of criminals reveals the same negative
circumstances as in the parents' family. The presence in a particular family (be it the
family of an adult or juvenile offender) of a large part of the above set of criminogenic
factors obviously contributes to the violation of the relationship between the
personality of a family member and society, causes deviation of the rules and values of
the individual from the generally accepted. The specifics of a desocialized adult family
are likely to consist not of a set of criminogenic factors, but in their relation to other
factors within and outside the family [11].
A simple listing of factors of a disadvantaged family that was considered above
desocialize juveniles is just the first step towards knowing the criminogenic process
that occurs within the family. The next step should be to position these, sometimes
