education: a) education and upbringing with as much possible individualization; b)
creation of conditions for self-development and self-education.
In the majority of illustrations in the minimized form, there is a great deal of
scientific information that provides: a) a constant connection of thinking with what is
being studied; b) the enrichment of mental activity by many details lost in abstract
concepts; c) reproduction of phenomena and objects at the level of sensory perception.
A separate group of symbolic visibility of the handout is drawing of models and code
tables that can be widely used at the stages of performance by students of
individualized tasks. Consequently, informative and illustrative function of notebooks
provides: intensification of student activity in the process of cognition; increasing the
pace of learning; development of cognitive interests; understanding of the material by
the students, which would not be clear without a clear understanding; increase of the
volume of independent individual work; optimizing the activities of the teacher and
students. Very, working with the handout, chooses for an independent job such a task,
which corresponds to its real educational capabilities and abilities. Working at an
individual rate, the schoolboy gets rid of anxiety, which contributes to the development
of interest and the formation of cognitive activity. Examples of answers, codes, test
assignments form the ability of students to self-examine and self-correct their activities.
Formation of self-control skills promotes self-affirmation of the individual, polishes its
volitional sphere. Handout materials also perform a motivational function. The design
of the distribution material, the material content, symbolic visibility arouse interest
among schoolchildren, form educational and cognitive motivation and a positive
attitude to the material being studied. The material of the handout material contributes
to their active cognitive activity. The tasks of the handout materials provide for the
formation of monologue and dialogical speech. The analysis of scientific literature and
practical experience of teachers-practitioners allowed to distinguish the following
types of handouts:
• informative handouts (laconic texts, reference circuits, thesis presentation of the
material);
• Illustrative-visual handouts (circuits, tables, maps, cartograms, drawings,
crossword puzzles);
• tasks, learning exercises, comprehension, consolidation; individual tasks; tasks
for performing laboratory, practical and other independent work;
• table-applications, applications-consultations, tasks for inquisitive;
• conceptual handouts (interpretation of basic concepts);
• handouts monitoring and self-monitoring (additional exercises, tasks, codes,
sample tables, tests, modules, monitoring).
For example, the illustrative and visual material of the handouts, in our opinion,
stands:
