GLOBALIZATION AS FACTOR OF INFLUENCE ON EDUCATIONAL
DEVELOPMENT
Introduction. Features of contemporary education system development in
Ukraine are in-depth renovation of all its elements – from pre-school to high education,
modernization the sense of education and methods of educational work, widespread
deployment into the educational sector modern information technologies, creation of
new connections between school and the life of society.
Similar changes arising from objective factors: the development of scientific
progress (SP), globalization of the world economic and cultural space, that occurring
all over the world [25]. The need for Ukraine’s integration into the world economic
space, reintegration into the world cultural environment predetermine the need for a
thorough, systematic, objective study of the international experience of educational
development, its comparison with the domestic, finding ways to introduce the best
pedagogical achievements of humanity into the practice of domestic high education,
predicting of possible trends in the development of domestic and world educational
systems. Therefore, the important factor in the development of educational systems in
individual countries and geopolitical regions of the world in the XXI century is
globalization.
Globalization has become the most popular term in western economic, political,
sociological, political and pedagogical researches from the 90's of the XX century. The
meaning "globalization" identifies a very wide range of phenomena and processes in
the relevant fields. This term has gained the interdisciplinary meaning and quite
contradictory interpretations. Here will be a few of them belonging to the leading
foreign scientists – experts in the field of global economic and social processes.
Review of the problem in scientific research. The main theoretical directions in
comprehension of processes and content of globalization have become most
widespread in the Western countries. Most of these directions have been built on the
basis of the modernization theory (W. Rostow [22], S. Eisenstadt [13]). The authors of
these concepts believe that it was modernization that led to the intensification of the
globalization processes.
