6. It has been shown unambiguously that total crystallization within the range of
6.5 < рH < 9.5 characterized by fast reduction of saturation index is controlled by
diffusion. It results in the conclusion that in technological systems the state of which
is close to stable dynamics of CaCO3 formation is diffusive and is characterized by
bicarbonate crystallization regime.
7. In the process of crystallization the exchange of CO
2
with environment is
decisive. Its stop slows down crystallization up to its end, on the contrary,
intensification of CO
2
desorption accelerates crystallization. Consequently, in the
systems of circulated water supply of power plants and industrial enterprises maximum
solid CaCO
3
formation is observed on heating surfaces of heat exchangers where
concentration of dissolved CO
2
is reduced and on the plates of sprinklers of water
cooling towers where intensive CO
2
degassing occurs.
