The features of household income differences in Ukraine. To outline the
selected characteristics of a household income the population distribution by per capita
income will be analyzed (table.1).
The analysis of such data shows certain positive changes in the level of per capita
total income of population. Hence, during the analyzed period there is a decreasing
trend in population with a low income (480-1560 UAH per month) and increase in the
population with higher incomes. However, it should be noted that this level is
influenced by many factors including political, migratory, demographic, mental,
financial etc, which significantly affect a real income. If to take into account the
significant level of shadow economy (according to estimates of different experts – from
35 to 55% of GDP), a low level of social standards (minimum wage and subsistence
minimum for able-bodied persons that is 1550 UAH. minimum pension – 1247 UAH
at the end of 2016), fairly significant unemployment rates (in the range of 10% of the
working population), the depreciation of hryvnia during 2014-2016 by more than three
