floor. In the places of setting the fittings, which weight are more than 50 kg, stationary
or portable lifting devices are foreseen. The distance from the fittings to overlapping
of the buildings is foreseen not less than 0,8 m.
In the places of inlet of the pipelines for HIL (from warehouses, all-factory
collector, etc.), the fittings with remote control or hand control are placed in the
workshops. The necessity of its application is determined by the conditions of the
technological process and providing of work safety.
Remote control of the pipelines is carried out from the dispatching office and other
safe places. It is allowed to establish remote control in the production premises, but on
condition that it will be duplicated from the safe place.
To lay the pipelines for HIL through auxiliary and storage premises, separated
devices, electric premises of ant-fire valves, ventilating chambers and staircases, is
banned.
Alcohol pipelines are laid, as a rule, on the ground on separate supports or trestles,
made of non-combustible materials. On the whole length they must be accessible for
examination and repair. The distance from alcohol pipelines to the walls with inlets of
the buildings of the 1

degree of refractoriness must be not less than 3 m.
It inlets are absent in these walls, the distance may decrease to 0,5 m. When laying the
pipelines with HIL along the walls with inlets of the buildings of the 1
st

degree of refractoriness up to 3 m (but not less than 0,5 m), they are provided with a
protective casing (“a pipe in a pipe”) under or about the inlet.
For all the pipelines with HIL, the possibility of their scavenging with the inert
gas or hot water vapour is provided. The delivery of inert gases or vapour to the
pipelines must be carried out with the help of straps of the pipelines or flexible hoses
with setting of the closing pipe fitting from both sides of a changeable strap other ways
of attaching are banned.
The speed of HIL flowing through the pipelines mustn’t exceed:
– with specific volume electric resistance up to 10
5
Ohmm – 10 m/s;
– with specific volume electric resistance up to 10
9
Ohmm – 5 m/s.
Pouring in of HIL into reservoirs is carried out through the stationary pipeline,
that doesn’t reach the bottom of the reservoir at a distance of 0,05 m. The shape of the
pipe end and speed of HIL flowing must exclude their splashing. In case of absence of
HIL residue in the reservoir, pouring in is fulfilled slowly, the speed of movement is
not more than 1,0 m/c.
The pipelines for transporting of HIL must have digit quantity, indices of direction
of the product movement, colouring according to the state standards GOST 12.4.026-
76.SSBT [16].
