In order to determine the reasons for reducing the proportion of non-current assets 

in the structure of the balance, it is clear, first of all, the most capital-intensive 
industries (types of economic activity) of Khmelnytskyi. For this, we will calculate and 
analyze the location of each industry (type of economic activity) in the structure of 
Khmelnytskyi region enterprises.

According to the calculations (Table 5), we conclude that agriculture is in the first 

place with its place in the structure of the balance of Khmelnytskyi region, on average 
for five years, - 43.2%. It is also worth noting the increase in the dynamics of its share 
to 71.6% (2016) 

In the second place, according to the average indicators, is the industry with a 

specific weight - 25,9%. In fact, it lost its position in the reporting year. As the share 
of this sector of the national economy in 2016 was only 9.4%. Compared with the base 
year this is less by 22.5%, and from the previous (2015) is less by 17.1%. 

In the third place is wholesale and retail trade with an average specific weight - 

12.6%. Their position in the reporting year was higher and amounted to 13.8%, which 
transferred it into second place by the specific weight of industries (types of economic 
activity) in the structure of the balance of Khmelnytskyi region. That is why we study 
in more detail the changes that took place in the balance of agriculture, forestry and 
fisheries, industry and wholesale, retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and 
motorcycles. 

According to Table 6, the largest changes occurred in the structure of agriculture, 

forestry and fisheries. The share of non-current assets significantly decreased. If in
