The etymological principles of the emergence and spread of conflict tension
of society. Exploring the meaningful nature of the terms "tension" and "conflict", it
should be noted that the first term is quite difficult to find in the Ukrainian encyclopedic
literature. However, in well-known foreign publications [10, p. 1485] the term tension
is interpreted as the result of force and counteraction of one side to another, which can
lead to different emotional or mental states. But he finds more of his realization in the
term "conflict" [10, p. 300; 11, p. 832–833], which literally translates from Latin means
"collision" and is a form of development of contradictions. Socio-economic conflicts
may not manifest themselves in outright actions, collisions in the process of their
decisions, but only in conflicting psychological states, intentions, intentions, emotional
hostility and other situations. At the heart of such conflicts are the deep internal
contradictions of the economic system, to which this or that conflict has a relation.
Therefore, methods of their solution may create new forms of cooperation,
entrepreneurial, socio-political or other activities in comparison with previous
contradictions, activating the state's activities in overcoming conflict, crisis phenomena
and creating new economic mechanisms that satisfy interests and motivate the joint
effective work conflicting parties (functional conflict). Or, although they shift the
processes of settling disputes from the dead point, they are not sufficiently stimulated
to work, they are motivated to work together (dysfunctional conflict).
Currently, in Ukraine, we have manifestations of a dysfunctional conflict not only
in the East, but also in the socio-economic and political life of the country. This is
confirmed by the civil passivity of the country's population, its removal, the reluctance
to take an active lifestyle and certain democratic initiatives. So the studies conducted
by the Foundation for Democratic Initiatives and the Razumkov Center confirmed this
fact [12, p. 17] that the level of distrust in various political, governmental, power
structures, organizations, associations and parties though decreased in 2015 compared
to 2012, however, remains almost unchanged over the period from 2015 to 2017.
Moreover, 85.3% of the population are not members of any organizations (even
religious, academic, artistic, etc.). At the 2012 level, there will be almost 2017
volunteering and citizen donations. Especially large material donations amounting to
more than UAH 2,000 decreased to 2.9% in 2017 compared to 6.5% in 2012 and 3.2%
in 2015. However, donations grew from UAH 1. up to 50 grn (32.3%) in 2017,
compared with 9.2% in 2012 and 22.3% in 2015. All this suggests new sources of
tension, including the general material and spiritual impoverishment of the population
already in the Ukrainian society, which has already begun to be settled. Most of the
population of Ukraine are waiting for new leaders [12, p. 18] and not corrupted faces
in the political arena next year, when presidential and parliamentary elections will take
place in the country, but all the same 82% of respondents said that they do not see them
in the near future on the horizon [13, p. 18].
