of New York, glass booths are installed. With their help guests can move to any part in
the world and directly from the hotel. They instantly arrive at the Marriott's lobby, to
hotel rooms, to the azure ocean or volcanic islands. In the future, the same teleports are
provided on the streets of Boston, Washington, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles,
San Jose [14].
An example of innovation that emerged as a demand of market and production, is
new methods for assessing the quality of personnel, new methods of management and
organization of production. For example, Marriott hotels (in the US and Canada)
introduced innovations in all hotel rooms as leaving letters from the management
calling for tips on accounf of quality room cleaning [13]. Next example of innovation
that emerged as a demand of market and production is the creation of a new hotel
complex Solar Floating Resort - SFR («Sunny Floating Hotel») [15]. It is the
implementation of solutions to a number of global warming and environmental issues.
This complex combines the functions of the yacht and the hotel. Solar panels contribute
to its full energy supply.
In modern innovation, the classification is widely used for the subject matter of
innovation activity (Fig. 4).
Figure 4. Classification of innovations based on the subject matter of innovation
According to this grouping approach, product innovations are aimed to create and
use new or improved products in production or consumption. New furniture design, a
new video system are examples of product innovations. In the hotel chain Yotel, the
modern high-tech beds Somnus-Neu [16] are being introduced. The bed is equipped
with a large number of devices, which provide an opportunity not only for the
implementation of the main function - sleeping, but also the possibility of video
reviews, providing light effects. The bed is equipped with a smart RFID card. By re-
entering a room with a special device, you can identify guests and restore the security
of all the services they prefer.
Technological innovations include new ways (technologies) for the manufacture
of traditional, advanced or fundamentally new products. Consequently, the new
technology of furniture manufacturing is an example of technological innovation. This
group of innovations also includes new technologies for customer service, registration,
