STRATEGY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL ECONOMY
OF UKRAINE
Introduction. The rapid development of digital technologies leads to radical
transformations not only in the economy, but also in society itself. Information has
become the main resource, in the hands of man it is transformed into knowledge, and
socio-economic relations are increasingly transferred to the network space. So, due to
the
reduction
of
information
costs,
digital
technology
is
significant
reduce the cost of economic and social transactions for the state,
enterprises and individuals and promote innovative processes in all spheres of the
economy. In parallel, an information market is formed, which is characterized as a pool
of social, legal and economic relations, which consist in the sphere of sale and
exchange of information products between consumers, producers and intermediaries.
This approach enhances the domination of the information industry in a number of
countries' economies; the field of production and service provision is becoming more
and more science-intensive and innovative.
Information technology and digital transformation are the main factor in
technological change and the condition for competitiveness, both at the level of
individual enterprises, and at the level of countries and supranational unions, inducing
the restructuring of all economic and production processes, to radical productivity
growth, improve quality and reduce the cost of goods and services. That is why the
solution to the global systemic crisis can be achieved through a set of new technologies
called the "digital economy", which under current conditions is a major factor in the
economic growth of national economies, industries and business structures.
President of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Klaus M. Schwab stressed that
"The world stands at the root of the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0), which
began at the turn of the new millennium and is based on the digital revolution, which
is characterized by the "omnipresent" mobile Internet, miniature production devices,
