substantiating the role of information resources in the development of the economy and

The twenty eighth section “PLACE OF PENSION PRVISION IN THE SYSTEM
OF ECONOMIC SAFETY OF THE STATE”. The article proved that the intensity of
using the tools of the mechanism of guaranteeing economic safety depends to a large
extent on the general conditions and environment that have developed in the state, that
is, on the degree of development of the economic system, the institutional environment,
the level of innovation of the entrepreneurial sector, the socio-political climate, etc.
Indeed, the effectiveness of the functioning of the economic safety system as a whole
will depend on how correctly the instrument to guarantee economic safety in the
specific conditions was chosen.
The twenty ninth section “METHODOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF A
PSYCHOLOGICAL
PHENOMENON:
COPING
STRATEGIES
IN
MANAGEMENT”. The proposed chapter deals with the methodological viewpoint of
the issue of coping with stress in management. It summarizes the theoretical
background of the issue in hand and complements it with two research studies aimed
at detecting the possible differences in coping with stressful situations by managers,
particularly in terms of their gender and comparison with the non-managerial workers.
The chapter presents two methodologies used to measure coping strategies – Brief
COPE and CISS, which were verified by the aforementioned research studies. The
results confirm the meaningfulness of studying and conducting research on the coping
strategies of managers, as they reveal the tendencies of managing stress by male and
female managers, and they compare the stress coping strategies of managers with those
of non-managers, proving that in terms of coping strategies, the focus should not
always be on the efficient workers or employees and their perception of stress, but also
on the managerial workers, who are exposed to it equally or even more. The chapter
also discusses and brings the results of several other studies conducted by various
authors to support the adequacy of the examined issue and its necessity to be studied
further.
