multi-project, which involves the use of the company's total resources for the parallel
implementation of independent innovation products. The practical confirmation of the
efficiency of this system is the work of world cruise companies, which form a network
of subsidiaries to cover the market through the offer of unique tourist products. At the
same time, the restriction of multi-project management is the competition of each
individual project for the amount of allocated resources that can be provided by the
parent company.
The process-oriented approach combined with the project activity is structuring
the process of introducing innovation within the tourist product of the cruise shipping
company, dividing it into successive stages, indicating the responsibility centers and
the specific performers. Repeated projects are already being developed on the basis of
the structure of the previous ones and can be equated with their resources and results
as a benchmark. The implementation of innovative projects involves flexible
interaction between the cruise ship management company and the crews and service
teams of ships, which can simultaneously implement homogeneous and heterogeneous
innovations, guaranteeing the organizational benefits of the projects. Requirements to
personnel in the implementation of innovations involve the formation of a new
interaction between employees to ensure optimization of business processes.
In view of the intra-resource competition between independent projects, the term
"multi-project of development" can be used as a mechanism for the implementation of
individual projects by a cruise shipping company [12]. The achievement of a specific
project of the commercialization stage involves the allocation of additional funds for
the development of new projects, thus, the process of self-financing the innovation
activities of the company. The definition of a company development project as an
embodiment of innovations in the form of a newly built vessel or vessel that has
undergone modernization is a narrow approach to innovation, since its objects for a
cruise shipping company may also serve other components of the cruise tourism
product, which, by ensuring its mobility, accelerates company development process.
Introducing a card payment system on board or online line registration, organizing a
line on a fundamentally new route or changing the ports of the event in the base route
are considered by us as variants of innovative solutions for the development of a cruise
shipping company.
The classical structure of the lifecycle of an innovative cruise product is formed
by two stages: the creation (development) of a product - from market research to
design, and the commercialization of a product - from introduction to the market to the
withdrawal from it (life cycle of a product), which shares the innovation lag. Terms of
the cruise shipping company determine the length of the lag for each of the innovations,
taking into account the demand for their market at a specific time. The current market
for cruise tourism, as already mentioned, is influenced by innovative changes in related
sectors of the economy, the pace of development of which determines the speed of
innovation processes of cruise shipping companies.
