In order to support and develop these areas of mutually beneficial functioning in
the context of sustainable development, civil society organizations are still important.
The statistical data analysis of the public associations structure, presented by
K. Dubich, does not allow to clearly identify the number and structure of domestic
NGOs, which provide social services. It means that there is currently no official
statistics at the state and regional levels of its governance in Ukraine [12]. In 2013, in
the structure of public organizations, according to the types of activity, the largest share
was attributed to health and sports organizations (17,7%), non-governmental
organizations of professional orientation (10%) and youth organizations (8,1%)
(Fig. 4).

It is significant that the United Cities and Local Authorities (UCLG), as the
coordinator of the Global Working Group of Local and Regional Authorities, called on
national governments, international institutions, academia and our development
partners to unite their efforts and promote the establishment of new partnerships with
local political leaders and civil society in the decision-making process. After all, they
are all very interested in the successful implementation of the Agenda for the period
up to 2030 and initiated the creation of a new Global Governance Architecture in the
updated United Nations system with a wider involvement of stakeholders in general
and the recognition of local and regional self-government bodies as governmental
stakeholders in particular [14].
