An important task for Ukraine is the formation of an optimal model for the
distribution of powers of local self-government bodies in the social sphere and the
introduction of new approaches to the organization of provision of social services,
including through the involvement of non-governmental organizations [16].
CONCLUSION
At the beginning of the XXI century. the world faces global environmental
problems, hunger and impoverishment of the majority of the world's population,
degradation of morality, the rise of regional and interethnic conflicts, and terrorism.
These circumstances have led the progressive world community and renowned non-
state international organizations to embark on a new approach to addressing the global
challenges identified by the concept of sustainable development. It envisages the
obligatory consistency of economic, environmental and human development in such a
way that with each new generation the quality, safety of people's lives, the state of the
environment was at an appropriate level, there was noticeable social progress that
recognizes the needs.
The issue of sustainable development of society is not ordinary and controversial.
This process is possible only when economic growth, material production and
consumption, other types of social activities occur within the limits determined by the
ability of ecological systems to be restored. The conceptual foundations of sustainable
development primarily involve the ecologization of the economy, humanization, the
introduction of a certain system of principle approaches to issues of social activity.
Sustainable development model, like any social model, is a system of integrated
components, their essential relations and relationships, which reflect the basic content
of processes of balanced socio-economic and ecological uplift.
Investigating the peculiarities of the CSOs interaction with government, business
and international organizations has made it possible to find out that the modern
development paradigm assimilates previously clearly defined functions and roles,
creating conditions for sectoral partnership. Participation of civil society organizations
in global governance in a greater extent depends on the strength, sustainability, impact
and structure of CSOs, which are determined by the social, cultural and economic
"background" of the country. Therefore, civil society organization are an integral part
of sustainable development.
