EXPERIENCE OF INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT IN PUBLIC-
PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIAL
ORIENTATION OF ECONOMIES
Introduction. In the modern world, an indispensable condition for the effective
functioning of a market economy is the constructive interaction between business and
government structures, aimed at achieving a balance between micro and macro- and
macro objectives with the provision of social and environmental components of
sustainability. Today, the synergy between sustainable development strategies and
public-private partnership (PPP) creates the basis for gaining a high competitive status
of the countries with an increase in their investment-innovation attractiveness,
improvement of living conditions and social progress.
The attractiveness of the idea of public-private partnership for solving urgent
social, infrastructural and environmental problems stimulates the need to take into
account the current conditions, factors and trends of international investment, which in
the majority of countries, in fact, determine the possibility of practical implementation
of PPP projects with high performance.
Fundamental aspects of sustainable economic development were reflected in the
papers of H. Lampert, S. Lindenberg, M. Porter, S. Pohielayen, H. Schlesinger and
others. The theoretical basis for the study of public-private partnership mechanisms
was the scientific works of D. Aziz, J. Delmon, B. Elsner, E. Istrat, I. Zapatrina,
A. Zverev, G. Cantor, J. Kukhling, A. Kessler, O. Petersen, R. Puentes, A. Rodina,
V. Sazonov, F. Tinsley, G. Fussell, L. Sharp. The issue of modern trends and
regularities of international investment processes is highlighted in the researches of
I. Ansoff, G. Markovits, F. Rot, J. Stiglitz, F. Fabotzzi, C. Heimer, W. Sharp and others.
At the same time, the critical assessment of the practice of using public-private
partnership in the creation of socially-oriented economies updated the question of
mechanisms for implementing models of public-private partnership in the format of
global goals of sustainable development, which predetermined the choice of the authors
of the topic, setting its goals and objectives.
