BRAND IN THE EVALUATION OF THE ECONOMIC COMPONENT
OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
(On the example of Ukraine-France relations)
Introduction. Mutual relations between the countries are formed by the influence
of geopolitical processes in the world, the trends prevailing on the world market of
goods and services, as well as the internal economic and political situation in them.
Underestimation of the role of world economic relations between countries in
establishing economic sovereignty of the state can cause great harm. National economy
of Ukraine today has negative trends characteristics: very low rates of industrial
production, high government debt, unemployment and the migration of the able-bodied
population, a large proportion of the shadow economy, corruption, which leads to a
general aggravation of social contradictions in societies extremely low rates of

complicated by a military conflict in the Crimea and in the eastern territories of the
Donbas. Political, socio-economic, environmental and demographic security - general
security not only for Ukraine but also for France and Europe as a whole has become a
precondition for strengthening common historical interests between countries.
Strategic partnership is the highest level of cooperation, the result of long-lasting
fruitful relations between the countries, which are determined by the mutual interests
of the parties, mutual adherence to the principles of territorial integrity. Strategic
partnership implies the presence of similar values, historical roots, national interests,
which determine the logic and the historical need for the strengthening and
development of cooperation.
Elements of strategic partnership are formed by political, economic, cultural,
scientific and educational directions of cooperation. The economic component of the
strategic partnership involves the dynamic growth of bilateral trade, deepening of
cooperation between countries through the improvement of its economic conditions.
