between states, based on common values, foreign policy support, policy coordination,
and resolution of international conflicts.
Strategic partnership, which in the narrow sense is considered as a set of
interstate projects, presented in Fig. 4 as separate components, each of which requires
its own approach to the establishment, management, development and evaluation.
The evidence of the transformation of international cooperation within each
component into a strategic partnership is the parity of relations. In particular, the parity
of the strategic economic partnership consists in the equivalence of the technological
and status level of goods, services in the foreign economic balance of Ukraine and
France.

The assessment of the economic component of the strategic partnership, which is
the subject of this study, can be carried out according to the scheme shown in Fig. 5/
The calculation of the integrated index of economic parity of strategic partnership
is carried out based on the results of assessing the technological and status parity of
relations between the two countries. The estimation of technological parity is formed
based on the analysis of the foreign trade balance (its dynamics, geographical and
commodity structure, the index of covering the import of exports).
An interesting historical aspect of Ukrainian-French relations, which were formed
and developed quite dynamically for many centuries. It suffices to recall here that on
May 19, 1051, the French King Henry I has married the daughter of the Grand Duke
of Kiev Yaroslav Mudryy - Anna. In fact, this marriage was based on political and
economic principles, since Kyivan Rus was at that time one of the most powerful state
formations in Europe. Actually, Anna Yaroslavovna herself played a prominent role in
the development of French statehood. The conclusion of marriage unions between state
dynasties in medieval Europe practically determined the strategic direction of relations
between states in the political as well as in economic spheres. In essence, this marriage
recognized the parity of relations between Kiev and Paris.
