the Western civilization and the desire to realize European values provides sufficient
opportunities for Ukraine's integration into the European community, in particular in
the economic sphere. Thus, at the beginning of the 2000s more than two hundred
enterprises in Ukraine worked with the help of French capital. Significant event in this
aspect is the signing and implementation of a contract with the Ukrainian-French
«Novarka enterprise» for the design, construction and commissioning of a new shelter
at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant [5].

One of the weaknesses in modern Ukrainian-French cooperation is a certain

imbalance and instability in the trade and economic sphere. One of the reasons for this
course is the underestimation of historical ties between Ukraine and France, as well as
incomplete analysis of history lessons in interconnections between cranes over a long
period.

Estimation of the economic component of the strategic. Partnership between

Ukraine and France. Strategic international cooperation between Ukraine and France
is confirmed by the growth of the share of Ukrainian exports, imports from the EU in
the total foreign trade volume of the country over the last eight years, as can be seen
from Fig. 6.

The data presented in Fig. 6, indicate an increase in the share of Ukrainian exports

to the EU countries in the total volume of eight years - in 1,5 times, imports - in 1,3
times, confirming the strategic importance of the vector of cooperation between
Ukraine and the EU.

The statistical data in Table 1 relate to the dynamics of exports and imports

between Ukraine and France in terms of goods and services.

An analysis of the proportion of goods and services in the foreign trade balance

of Ukraine and France in 2017, presented in Fig. 6, shows the presence of a significant
advantage of the share of goods.
