Such a ratio of exports and imports shows the unused potential of our country and
the lack of quantitative parity in foreign trade relations between Ukraine and France.
Qualitative technological parity characterizes the commodity structure of export-
import between the partners. Compare TOR-5 exports and imports of Ukraine and
France in 2017, as presented in Tab. 2.

The main articles of Ukrainian merchandise exports to France in 2017 were: food
industry residues and wastes (27,1%), fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin
(19,8%), seeds and fruits of oilseeds (11,1%), clothing and textiles (7,0%), wood and
articles thereof (4.4%), accounting for 84.1% of all exports, as shown in Fig. 11.
The basis of the French commodity import to Ukraine is made up of: a variety of
chemical products (33,6%), including pharmaceuticals (8,8%), mineral fuels,
petroleum and products of its distillation (15.6%), means of land transport other
than
rail (14,4%), nuclear reactors, boilers and machines (7,7%), essential oils (6,1%).
