vitality, or the ability to act under the conditions of purposeful external
influence, immunity to any factors of influence;

relative independence - the ability of the system to function without an outside
support;

integrity, that is, the absence of separate parts, and the perception of system
as a single undivided object.
The analysis done shows that nowadays almost all branches of science are
rethinking the results obtained and streamlining or bringing them to the system.
However, in many cases, the term "system" is used on an intuitive level and serves as
a peculiar expression of such general concepts as a plurality, integrity, composed of
parts, an order that combines many elements, etc.
In our understanding, the system in the narrow sense is an order determined by
the systematic, correct arrangement of components in a given connection and a clear
sequence of actions, whereas in the broader sense the system is a functional system
created to achieve a given useful result (target function) in the process of its
functioning.
Creation and effective functioning of the system of economic safety of the state
is a necessary condition for guaranteeing economic safety in general.
A thorough analysis and systematization of approaches to the definition of the
essence of the concept "economic safetyā€¯ have made it possible to define its peculiar
features.
Firstly, the basis of economic safety is the principle of anthropocentrism: a person,
his needs, interests and goals are the epicentre of economic development.
Secondly, economic safety is a historical and dynamic phenomenon. Mankind is
accompanied by the aspects of economic safety throughout history.
Thirdly, economic safety belongs to internal contradictory concepts, thus arising
a lot of discussions around them. Today, nobody doubts the essence of the "national
security" concept. It is firmly stuck in the life of modern society in many countries of
the world and has become an integral part of their domestic and foreign policy. The
concept of "economic safety" as a component of national safety, especially for the post-
Soviet countries, is relatively new in scientific and practical life, and attempts to find a
single scientific approach to the definition of the essence of this economic category
have not yet succeeded.
Fourthly, economic safety is a multilevel and multidimensional phenomenon with
a definite spatial structure. Applying the systematic approach, we regard economic
