The seventeenth section “GLOBALIZATION AS FACTOR OF INFLUENCE
ON EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT”. The problem of the impact of globalization
processes on the education system is highlighted. the views of scholars on the concept
of "globalization" are analyzed. The positive features include: rapid technological
progress; improvement of understanding between different cultures and civilizations;
the ability of states to combine common efforts to overcome global problems;
accelerating the pace of information and cultural exchanges. The essence of
globalization as a process that characterizes the modern stage of human development
is the formation of a common world economic, political and cultural space, which
operates on the basis of universal generally acceptable recognized legal values and
principles and is mediated by common organizational forms. The negative features of
globalization include: the world economy is becoming more unstable and vulnerable;
increasing the migration of the population, particullary, from the poor to the advanced
countries; losing ofnational and linguistic identity; increasing the transnational crime,
including the information sphere, in the so-called "cyberspace"; national-ethnic
conflicts, wars for possession of one or another resource broke out; crisis of universal
international organizations.
The eighteenth section “VERBALIZATION OF THE CONCEPT «FASHION»
IN THE ENGLISH LINGUISTIC VIEW OF THE WORLD”. The article presents
theoretical principles of studying of the Linguistic view of the world and it has been
emphasized that any language reflects a specific method of perception and
conceptualization of the world as each nationality has its own natural conditions of
existence, everyday life, history and values. Such phenomenon of the society as
Fashion has been chosen for the given study. The study proves that Fashion rightly
deserves such attention of Linguistics because everything that comes into fashion is
immediately reflected in the language and gets its name. It is determined in the article
that units with meanings that indicate to the creators of fashionable innovations and
consumers of fashionable novelties are universal for all views of the world in the sphere
of clothing and accessories. It has been found out that standards and objects presuppose
definite values which are perceived in the society as fashionable. That’s why,
undoubtedly, Fashion guides people’s behavior, sets its rules, makes people live and
develop according to its laws and customs. The study has analyzed the concept
«Fashion» in terms of national specificity of the English society. Just textual
representation of the concept «Fashion» forms its actual image in the consciousness of
the society. The attempt has been made to prove that the systems of the value
orientations which are represented in the given conceptual model form the basis of the
English culture. It has been proved in the research that the concept «Fashion» in the
English Linguistic view of the world has multiple representations on the lexical level.
