Kiev, Lviv, Vinnitsa, Uman, Kamyanets-Podilsky, Chernivtsi. But, on the other hand,
as noted in the scientific literature, the development of tourism in Berdychiv oblast is
hindered by the lack of sufficient material and technical base for the reception and
maintenance of tourists (in particular, hotel and restaurant objects); insufficient
development of transport communications (both in the actual tourist areas and on the
access roads to them); the abandoned state of many historical monuments and
architectural objects (for example, in the estate of the B.Ganska in Verkhivnya village
(beginning of the XIXth century), the agricultural college is still “living”, which
hinders the creation of a valuable memorial museum of O. de Balzac. Thus, the tourist
and resource potential of the city of Berdychiv is quite enough to attract significant
flows of foreign tourists from Poland, Israel, France, Great Britain, Belarus and other
countries, as well as Ukrainian tourists. At the same time, the development of the
material and technical base of tourism and tourist infrastructure in the city of Berdychiv
and the district still does not correspond to its powerful tourist and recreational
opportunities, that impedes the effective development of the tourist industry in the
region, and thus hinders its the comprehensive social and economic development.
Similar problems are observed in a number of other towns in Ukraine with significant
tourist potential, such as Chygyryn, Glukhiv, Baturyn (hetman "capitals" with
monuments of the XVII-XVIII centuries), Galych (the monuments of the Galicia-
Volyn principality of the XIV-XV centuries), Kamyanets-Podilsky (monuments of
Polish, Turkish and Armenian origin of the XVI-XVIII centuries, as well as from the
Cossack era) etc. These towns are potential tourist "magnets" of national and world
significance, which are already capable of attracting the attention of dozens or even
hundreds of thousands of tourists (Ukrainian and foreign), but without having a modern
tourist MTB and infrastructure, lose the opportunity to earn millions of dollars on "
sale "of their tourist services and attractions.
The second variant of logistic tourist model - the crisis one is currently observed
in the largest tourist centers of Ukraine, in particular, cities of Kiev, Lviv, Odessa and
others. They attract the largest tourist flows from Ukraine and abroad. According to
2017, the largest number of tourists came to Lviv (2.6 million), Kiev (1.7 million), and
Odesa (1.5 million). Such a large tourist load, on one hand, provided these cities with
significant financial revenues from tourism (in the currency as well), on the other hand,
caused a number of problems, among which the main ones are:
A. The deterioration of the state of the most popular tourist objects in the cities,
and sometimes – even their destruction. This issue is very relevant for Kyiv, where the
increased tourist load on the resource base of the city's tourism has already led to cases
of physical destruction of the most visited objects. In particular, it concerns the Kyiv-
Pechersk Lavra, which is included in the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and
has 122 monuments of architecture at its territory. Due to the negative influence of a
