and the content of e-learning materials in the study of cloud-based learning
technologies: a clear structure (theory, practice, and self-analysis), practice-oriented
use of the investigated service (General function, the specific use in the future
profession), completeness and conciseness of presentation topics (tasks, methodical
recommendations, practice video manual). All the elements are aimed at getting the
students of the twenty-first century skills.
The twenty-fourth section “THE ESSENCE AND PROBLEM OF
COMPETEVCE APPROACH AS A NEW DIDACTIC PARADIGM IN FOREIGN
DIDACTIC STUDIES”. This article is devoted to the essence and problem of the
competence approach as a new didactic paradigm in foreign didactic studies. Rapid
socio-economic changes in our society require the use of new parameters for higher
education systems functioning and simultaneously set new tasks for them. Therefore,
the new society development processes set the educational tasks aimed to train new
generations of people who will live in an expanded system of cooperation, intensive
exchange of information and products of human labour, cooperate through the creation
of various joint networks, projects, unions, associations, etc.. Analysis of the current
state and trends in the development of the system of higher education as a whole in the
world makes it possible to conclude that it is extremely important at the present stage
of the development of higher education to introduce new pedagogical technologies,
among which a special priority is given to competence approach, which, first of all,
guarantees the departure from a purely informative and the reproductive way of
learning. It is therefore no accident that the educational systems of advanced states,
modeled on the basis of competence approach, are aimed at taking into account the
unique individuality of participants of the educational process with their value
orientations, social attitudes, physiological and spiritual needs. It is as a result of the
interaction of the participants of the educational process, their physical, intellectual,
social and spiritual characteristics the personality is formed as a holder of various
competences that can consciously and constructively act in the new society.
The twenty-fifth section “FORMATION OF SKILLS OF EFFECTIVE
PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGES”. The article
deals with the peculiarities of the organization of professionally oriented foreign
language training of future specialists in tourism and economics in terms of mastering
the skills of effective professional communication, particularly, it reveals the nature of
activating and developing effects of foreign languages on the personal and professional
growth of students, majoring in Tourism and Economics in the process of developing
these skills. The consideration of such aspects of professionally oriented foreign
language training is relevant and timely, in view of the need for acquiring the
professional competences that facilitate efficient professional activity in modern
