CURRENT PROBLEMS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ACTIVITY
OF FUTURE FOREIGN LANGUAGES TEACHERS
Introduction. The main activity of students while studying at the establishment
of higher education is learning. This kind of learning has its peculiarities, the basis one
is to understand the methods of scientific cognition, the acquaintance with the proper
experience and research skills forming.
The crucial task of the modern university progress is to provide the conditions for
every student to obtain the research skills during the educational process and to learn
the research activity methods.
The scientific research activity helps both a teacher and a student to demonstrate
the individuality, creative abilities, readiness for self-realization. Despite the big
amount of investigations in this sphere, the development of methodology of the
research skills improvement in the higher school was not investigated enough in the
actual educational environment and still needs much attention. The problem of
student’s training for scientific research activity needs to be investigated and improved.
The process of research activity has personal character, therefore the research activity
methods must be improved to make it more interesting and effective.
Many scientists paid attention to the scientific research activity as the necessary
element of a professional training of a teacher (N.Yakovleva, Z.Yesareva); methods
and forms of future specialists involvement into the creative educational activity
(V.Anreyev, S.Arkhargelskiy, Yu.Kulyutkin); problems of students’ research activity
organization are described in the investigations of I.Dagite, M.Kovalyova, V.Sidenko,
V.Shevchenko; the place and the value of scientific research of students in the
educational system investigated L.Avdeyeva, F.Filipova, V.Shostakovsky.
Among the foreign scientists the problem of student’s scientific research
investigated H.Gummel, R.Dave, P.Lengrand, L.Cerikh; the influence of scientific-
research activity of students into the professional training and student-teacher
cooperation explored A.Paseka, A.Seel.
Today’s society challenges educators to create pedagogical methods that are
attuned to current demands and expectations for student learning. Instilling in students
the ability to think and act creatively is required in today’s higher education system.
