THE CLEVERNESS TO SELF-LEARNING IN THE SYSTEM
OF CONTINUOUS EDUCATION: MULTI-VECTOR ANALYSIS
Introduction. Lifelong learning is a strategic direction for the development of
world, European and Ukrainian education systems. This is due to scientific and
technological progress, the development of new technologies, their mobile
implementation in production and application in life, the emergence of new
professions, new principles, methods, methods and tools for solving cognitive,
educational and professional problems. A modern person of any age should constantly
study, regularly raise his awareness, professional qualifications, expand the worldview,
master new types of actions for various types of activities.
In Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine "On Education" [1] the goal of complete
secondary education is directed towards the comprehensive development, education
and socialization of the individual, capable of living in a society and civilized
interaction with nature, has a desire for self-improvement and life-long learning, is
ready for conscious life choices and self-realization, responsibility, work activity and
civic activity. It is also noted that the achievement of this goal is ensured by forming
the key competencies necessary for every modern person to succeed. Among the
legislatively approved range of competencies, we emphasize the competence of
lifelong learning.
In the State standard of basic and complete general secondary education [2] the
concept of "competence" is interpreted as acquired in the learning process, the
integrated ability of the student, consisting of knowledge, skills, experience, values
and attitudes that can be holistic in practice. Taking into account the content of this
interpretation, the competence of lifelong learning can be considered as an integrated
human ability to continuous learning (organized by others) and self-education, which
is internally and externally inflicted on knowledge of a socially and individually
meaningful new.
Competence in lifelong learning is a complex entity that involves various
structural elements, including the ability to self-learning and self-teaching in a system
of continuing education.
Research results. Variety of self-development skills in educational process. In
psychological and pedagogical scientific studies, "understanding" addresses conflict
situations around lexemes: "readiness", "ability", "ability to perform actions",
"preparation", "performance", "application" (using) of knowledge and skills".
