The faculty for myth is innate in the human race. It seizes with avidity upon any 

incidents, surprising or mysterious, in the career of those who have at all distinguished 
themselves from their fellows, and invents a legend to which it then attaches a fanatical 
belief. It is the protest of romance against the commonplace of life. The incidents of the 
legend become the hero's surest passport to immorality [18].  

The above author`s digression consists of a complex of different structure of 

sentences: simple, complicated, complex. We define it as a non-integrated; in view of 
the fact that it takes, the starting position of a paragraph, as well as it is different with 
conjunctionless, deictic, lexical relation to the previous paragraph. 

In the following two fragments we selected the author`s digressions that are a 

whole paragraph: 

1. At the first sign of the approach of one of these outrages, all clocks ought to be 

put back three hours, so that everybody might stay in bed until their fury is spent. There 
is no end to their malice. They sweep, lash, and machine – gun the streets with rain; 
they send up fountains of mud from every passing wheel; they contrive that fires  shall 
not burn and  water boil,  that tea shall be I lukewarm, bacon fat congealed, and 
warranted fresh eggs change in their very cups to mere eggs and dubious; they make 
the husband turn on the wife, the father on the child, and thus help to ruin all family 
life; and they lavishly sow all the ills that townsmen know, colds, indigestion, 
rheumatism, influenza, bronchitis, pneumonia, and are indeed the industrious hirelings 
of Death [19].  

2.  I have an idea that some men are born out of their due place. Accident has cast 

them amid certain surroundings, but they have always a nostalgia for a home they 
know not. They are strangers in their birthplace, and the leafy lanes they have known 
from childhood or the populous streets in which they have played, remain but a place 
of passage. They may spend their whole lives aliens among their kindred and remain 
aloof among the only scenes they have ever known. Perhaps it is this sense of 
strangeness that sends men far and wide in the search for something permanent, to 
which they may attach themselves [18]. 

These author`s digressions are non-integrated concerning the main story. Such 

utterances are the micro-texts, where the morality is expressed based on the human 
experience [17]. 

Author`s digressions that are the initial components of a paragraph, as a rule, have 

the highest degree of auto-semantic compared with the author`s digression that create 
a paragraph. We believe that the original author`s digressions presented as the 
paragraphs are characterized with the maximal non-integration. The above examples 
of the author`s digression are absolutely auto-semantic; they do not require the 
additional context for the realization of its content. At the same time, the introduced in
