up to 20 %. With the slasher included in the technological capacity, the percentage of
components sifted into the pallet was within the range of 32.8-34.2 %, depending on
the temperature and ambient air humidity. It was established that the higher the
temperature and the less humidity of the environment - so that the components of the
ration, in the first place such as hay and haylage, and also the lower degree of gluing
of the components, which increased the intensity of separation of fractions during
sifting, were shredded into smaller particles.

By evaluating the indexes of functional activity of the organism of experimental
cows by the days of the study (Table 4 and 5), it should be noted that the cows of the
1st group, when transmitted to the diet without shredding in the sledding, compared
with the equalization period, the motor activity decreased by 1.0 % rumination per day
- for 12 minutes (3.0 %), average yield
per week - by 1.0 kg (3.0 %).
