Developed MCS do not guarantee noise immunity operation of the link. This
requires an optimal algorithm for the reception. Any MCS decoding algorithms are the
algorithms that consist of ensemble reception signals (inner decoder) and external
correcting codes. The main objective of this section is MCS synthesis that provides the
necessary BER, under the given channel parameters.
The main criterion for selecting the best combination of modulation and coding
for MCS is the information index – productivity. Under the same channel resources,
frequency and power, an optimal combination of modulation and coding wanted for
achieving maximum productivity.
Obviously, productivity depends on the energy parameter

that shows a ratio
of the average signal energy at the reception point to the one-sided spectral white noise
power. Dependency for multiple modulations is built in Fig. 4.
Communication channel productivity can be improved through the use of error
correcting codes when channel resources identified, and reliability requirements
specified.
